Daniel and the Beast
About one hundred and
fifty years ago there was a brave and very handsome young man called Daniel. He
lived in quite a big town. Daniel lived with his Father because his Mother had
died from a killer disease.
One
morning, when the birds were singing and the smell of fresh bread filled the
town, Daniel was walking into the castle to ask for Princess Charmaine’s hand
in marriage. Princess Charmaine had long, silky brown, curly hair and wore
lovely make-up and outstanding dresses. He got up to her room and only found her
tiara and lipstick on the floor. He ran down stairs shouting, “Your Majesty!
Your Majesty!” When he was running down the stairs he saw slime. The King came
out, “What?! My wife is asleep!”
“Your
daughter has been kidnapped and there is more to come: I think it was the
beast.” Daniel told him.
“You
what?!” the King shouted.
“I
would like your permission to save her. I will need your horse and the
Princess’s lipstick.”
“Very
well.”
Daniel
set off in the King’s best armour, riding his horse, and carrying a sword and
shield. He galloped through the town and off into the forest. It smelt like
mouldy leaves and the sky looked like evening. Then he galloped along the beach
when all of a sudden, black clouds misted and the mountains were right in front
of him. He tied the horse to a pole and started climbing the mountain.
At
the top of the mountain there was a big pool of larva. He did a jump and landed
on the other side. He opened the door and walked into the castle. He saw the
beast: it was ugly, brown and hairy. It ran up to him and Daniel ran and hid. He
stuck out his foot and the beast fell. Daniel ran and got stuck in a crack in
the floor. The beast ran and Daniel hit it, grabbing it by the horns. The beast
swung him and threw him. Daniel ran up to the monster and stabbed him in the
chest with the King’s sword. The monster died.
Daniel
found Princess Charmaine’s room and rolled the stone to get in. “Daniel!!”
“Charmaine!!”
They gave each other a hug and then Daniel proposed.
“Yes,
I would love to.” They kissed until they were out of the castle and then they
rode home.
The
next day the couple got married and moved away and started a family.
